Contractor selection.
This is one area that makes a project meet the quality and schedule framework established by our client, the designer and the budget. SCD chooses the most experienced and financially stable sub-contractors to work on our client’s projects. Our subcontractors must be able to Bond for their contractual work for $50,000.00 or greater. In addition, our subcontractors provide us with a Project Superintendent who can make decisions in the field without waiting for the subcontractor’s principal to arrive.
Contract and Construction Management.
Our contracts and systems are designed to allow us to have total control of the day to day operation of the project as well as to control the cost of the job. The Change Order Process is managed efficiently and expeditiously. SCD recognizes the impact to the production schedule and total budgeted project costs and stakeholders bottom line.
Value engineering.
We can also save construction costs for our clients’ when we are included in the design process before it is submitted for permitting. SCD welcomes the opportunity to meet with the designer as part of our value added services in the early stages of the creation of your vision. SCD’s expertise in building and knowledge of assembly and codes helps to keep budget costs as efficient and value-oriented as possible without compromising quality.
Budget Development.
The cost controls we implement are a part of how we schedule a project. Our Project Managers work very closely with our Superintendents to properly plan and factor in appropriate lead times for materials and supplies. SCD’s goal is to meet the schedule milestones and produce quality. Getting it right the first time is the best testament to an effective management team. |
